Albatros was a progressive rock band formed in Hagen, Germany, in February 1974. They derived their name from Fleetwood Mac's instrumental track "Albatross." The band featured a sextet lineup, including Peter Breitbarth on guitar, Thomas Buscher on drums, Achim Hubricht on bass, Harald Hubricht on keyboards, Christian Koppen on piano, Hansi Koppen on vocals, and Jurgen Polzin on congas. Albatros played several shows alongside fellow Hagen band Grobschnitt, contributing to their local scene.

Garden Of Eden: An Overview

The band's sole album, "Garden Of Eden," was released in 1979 under Lipstick Records. This album was pressed in a limited edition of only 500 copies. The music showcases a blend of rock, art rock, and psychedelic rock elements. The arrangements have drawn comparisons to the early works of Genesis and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. The album features three tracks, with "A Man Like Me" leading the A-side. The B-side includes "Sundriver" and an untitled track that adds a sense of mystery to the listening experience.
