The core lineup of Wigwam during this period comprised Jim Pembroke, who handled vocals and piano; Jukka Gustavson, contributing vocals, organ, synthesizers, and piano; Pekka Pohjola, who played bass, violin, piano, and synthesizers; and Ronnie Osterberg on drums and percussion. The recording session also featured a broad array of supporting musicians, including multiple flutists, oboists, clarinetists, and a bassoonist, which enriched the album's sound. Taisto Wesslin added acoustic guitar to the mix, enhancing the textural layers of the music.

Opening with "Proletarian," the songs delve into various themes, with "Pedagogue" extending to a lengthy 9 minutes and 28 seconds, showcasing the band’s progressive style.
