The quintet consisted of Burkhard Rittler on lead vocals, flute, Mellotron, and percussion; Jürgen Baumann on Minimoog synthesizer, Mellotron, grand piano, electric and acoustic guitars, and backing vocals; Andreas Nedde on electric and acoustic guitars and backing vocals; Robert Krause on bass guitar; and Burkhard Engel on drums and percussion.

Recording Process

"Zeitmaschine" was recorded during the summer of 1977 at Toncooperative Studios in Hannover. The sound engineer for the project was Frank Bornemann, known for his work with the progressive rock band Eloy. The album's production reflects a rich blend of instrumentation, featuring dual Mellotrons, flutes, and layered guitar harmonies.
