Released in May 1969, "Sweet Pain" is the sole studio album by the British blues-rock ensemble Sweet Pain. This LP came out under the Mercury label, catalog number 20163 SMCL / SR 61231. The album was recorded at Philips Studios in London, featuring a lineup of accomplished musicians from the British Blues Boom era.

The legendary Dick Heckstall-Smith plays tenor and soprano saxophones, having previously worked with Colosseum and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers. John O'Leary, a founding member of Savoy Brown Blues Band, adds depth with his harmonica work. The rhythm section features Keith Tillman on bass guitar and Junior Dunn on drums, both of whom have ties to John Dummer Blues Band.
