'Odgipig' is the only album released by the English band Sindelfingen, a quintet hailing from Rochester, Kent. This album, catalog number MIRO 002, was pressed in 1973 by Private Pressing. Only 99 copies were produced, making it one of the rarest private pressings in British progressive rock history. The motivation for such a limited run was to circumvent UK purchase tax regulations.

Musical Composition and Style

The band's sound is characterized by an absence of traditional keyboard instruments. Instead, they utilize Roger Woods' glockenspiel and sine-wave oscillators, creating a unique auditory experience. Richard Manktelow delivers lead vocals and contributes both acoustic and electric guitars, while Mark Letley plays bass guitar and adds vocal harmonies. The drumming is shared between Roger Thorn and Matt Letley, the latter being the younger brother of Mark and future drummer for Status Quo.

Sindelfingen's music is a blend of multiple genres, combining elements of folk rock, acid folk, and progressive rock. Their style draws inspiration from the Canterbury scene, reminiscent of bands like Caravan and Spirogyra.
