The gatefold vinyl release features rich artwork that complements the album's musical themes.
Warm Dust's lineup includes lead vocalist and harmonica player Les Walker, alongside Paul Carrack on Hammond organ and electric piano. Carrack, who is better known for his later work with Ace and Squeeze, provides a heavy organ sound that drives many compositions. The latter track extends to 8:37 minutes, showcasing a heavy-prog sound that underpins the band's style.
Side two features a dramatic adaptation of Modest Mussorgsky's "A Night On The Bare Mountain." This lead-in transitions directly into "The Blind Boy," an 18:20-minute concept suite divided into five parts. This ambitious composition includes "Trouble In T' Mill" and "Dustbust," demonstrating the band's ability to weave complex narratives through music.
