Original bassist and vocalist Charly Maucher returned to the fold, joining guitarist Klaus Hess, second guitarist Wolfgang Krantz, and drummer Peter Panka. This twin-guitar quartet setup allowed Jane to move away from their previous organ-centric sound toward a more hard-edged blues-rock approach, integrated with Krautrock influences.

Conny Plank served as the sound engineer for the album, known for his expertise in capturing the essence of the band's new sound. Günter Körber took on the role of producer, ensuring the album's sonic quality met the expectations of the time.
