Smith brought in an orchestra arranged by Robert Godfrey, with Gavin Wright serving as the orchestra leader. This collaboration added a rich, symphonic layer to the tracks. Notably, for the song "Galadriel," named after a character from J.R.R. Tolkien's literature, Smith procured an Epiphone Casino guitar previously played by John Lennon during the Beatles’ last live performance on the rooftop of Apple Corps in January 1969. This guitar featured prominently in the recording of the track, showcasing an interesting link between the two bands.

Unique Contributions

Another point of interest is the presence of Alan Parsons, who played the Jew's harp on the closing track, "Lady Loves." At the time, Parsons was an assistant engineer at Abbey Road, and he later gained fame as a producer and musician. His contribution adds a unique texture to the album's conclusion.
