The album "Tibet," released in 1979 by the German band of the same name, presents a unique blend of symphonic prog and space rock. Formed in 1972 in Werdohl, the band recorded their sole LP over two years at Rhein-Ruhr-Film Tonstudio in Bochum. The album was produced by guitarist Jürgen Krutzsch and released under the Bellaphon label.

"Tibet" is characterized by its rich, layered sound, largely due to the dual-keyboard approach. Dieter Kumpakischkis and Deff Ballin combine various instruments, including the Minimoog, Mellotron, and Hammond organ, creating an intricate soundscape.
