Cherry Five is a progressive rock band from Rome, Italy. The group released their self-titled album in 1975 under the Cinevox label. This album marks the only studio effort by the band, which consisted of members Tony Tartarini (lead vocals), Claudio Simonetti (keyboards), Massimo Morante (guitar), Fabio Pignatelli (bass), and Carlo Bordini (drums).

Musical Style and Influences

The music of Cherry Five is heavily influenced by British progressive rock bands such as Yes, Genesis, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Transition to Goblin

However, drummer Carlo Bordini and vocalist Tony Tartarini left the group due to concerns about their careers and the direction of the band. The remaining members, Simonetti, Morante, and Pignatelli, continued under the name Goblin, achieving further success in film scoring.
