Recreation was a Belgian power trio that emerged in the early 1970s. The group consisted of three members: Jean-Jacques Falaise on organ and piano, Jean-Paul Van Den Bossche on guitar and bass, and Francis Lonneux on drums. They were known for their heavy use of the Hammond organ, drawing comparisons to bands like The Nice and Rare Bird. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1970, marked their entry into the progressive rock and psychedelic rock scenes.

The album is notable for its format, featuring six short tracks rather than traditional full-length songs. This approach creates a unique listening experience, as the group strings together brief pieces and sound collages.
