In 1971, the East London band Grannie emerged with their self-titled album, a notable entry in the realm of private press vinyl. This release, cataloged as SRT 71138 under S. R. T. Productions, was recorded in a single day at SRT Studios in Hertfordshire. The album stands out not only for its music but also for its ultra-limited manufacturing run of just 99 copies, each housed in plain white sleeves. This exclusivity adds to the allure of the record among collectors and enthusiasts.

Musical Composition

The album features a blend of rock genres, including progressive rock, hard rock, and heavy psych. Lead guitarist Phil Newton played a pivotal role in the songwriting process, contributing to the dynamic sound characterized by heavy guitar riffs and melodic solos.
