In December 1971, Hungarian rock supergroup Locomotiv GT (LGT) released their self-titled debut album, marking a pivotal moment in the country's music scene. Locomotiv GT was formed in April 1971 when Gábor Presser and József Laux left Omega, one of Hungary's most successful rock bands. They joined forces with guitarist Tamás Barta, known for his work with Hungária, and bassist Károly Frenreisz from Metro. The lyrics for the album were penned by Anna Adamis, a celebrated poet and lyricist. The assemblage of these musicians created a blend of various influences, steering Hungarian rock away from the 60s beat-pop style toward a more complex sound.

Musical Style and Production

The album features a diverse range of musical styles, including heavy progressive rock, blues, and brass-infused jazz-rock. The production was handled by Dóra Antal, with sound engineering by Attila Fülöp. Their collaboration resulted in a sound that emphasized technical sophistication and a hard-hitting approach. Tracks like the haunting "Egy Dal Azokért, Akik Nincsenek Itt" and the energetic "Hej, Én Szólok Hozzád" illustrate this shift in style.
