The recording of Leftoverture took place between April and June of 1976 at Studio in the Country located in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Engineering was managed by Bill "Bleu" Evans, while George Marino was responsible for disc mastering at Sterling Sound. This collaborative effort contributed to the album's polished sound.
