Emergency is the self-titled debut album from the progressive jazz-rock group of the same name. Formed in Munich in 1970, the band draws from a multinational lineup that includes members from Czechoslovakia and Germany. The group features Hanus Berka, a Czechoslovak saxophonist and flutist, who also produced the album. Alongside him are lead vocalist Miloš "Reddy" Vokurka, electric guitarist Barrie Newby, Hammond organist Jiří Matoušek, bassist Otto Bezloja, and drummer Udo Lindenberg, who later gained fame as a rock superstar in Germany. The ensemble is complemented by guest trumpeter Duško Gojković, which adds an extra layer to their brass sound.
