King Crimson's eighth studio album, Discipline, was released on September 22, 1981, through EG Records in the UK. This album followed a seven-year hiatus after the band's breakup in 1974, led by guitarist Robert Fripp. The new lineup featured Fripp alongside drummer Bill Bruford, who had previously worked with the band in the mid-1970s. They were joined by two new members: Adrian Belew on guitar and lead vocals and Tony Levin on bass guitar and Chapman Stick.
